Big Projects Will Not Be Completed if You Don’t Have Specific Actions Identified.

Big projects will not be completed if you don’t have specific actions identified. ✍️

I often hear from the leaders I mentor to have concerns about the progress of things they planned to do, but that don’t get done.

Bathroom renovation, discovery on a product, holiday plan - often we write a to do item, but it is not actionable, in fact it is more like a project on its own. 🚧

To make sure you make progress on things you want to do, take 5 min and convert vague action items into actionable ones. 🏃‍♀️

For example, your todo list says “Send an update to stakeholders”. It looks like an action from the first glance, but in fact there are several actionable items you need to do:

1. write the update

2. go to dashboard and get data points to back your narrative

3. Review the text to make sure it is engaging and not too long

4. Add pictures and gifs

5. Send the actual message with the update

Each of those actionable items are easier to start with and then make sure you get through bigger task.🧗
